I’m back! School is finally over for the summer, so now I’ll have more time to blog. I’m gonna get the queue started up again and everything.

I work in Cleveland and we haven't had to sign anything like that at our store yet, I think its kind of silly that companies are doing this. What we do in our free time is none of the company's business.

I had to do this for RiteAid like 3 months back. I get that it sounds like it is going against the 1st amendment but I do wonder if it also counts as tarnishing a companies name. Such as slander. It's really stupid. One picture for one of the training videos was if you're drinking with a Rite Aid vest you'll get fired. I laughed and though of doing that. Haha

I have two that I can think of! 1). Don't let your kid destroy the toy aisle. If you're a crappy enough parent that can't control a CHILD from screwing up our aisles, then you shouldn't be bringing them with you to the store. OR You could actually take up the responsibility and watch them. 2). If you're covering for the front person's 15 or 30 minutes break, for the love of God come back on time. I have a lot of crap to do as a photo person and you being late does not help me at all.

Working at a 24hour one, working the graveyard shift and the door announces itself open throughout the night and every customer INSISTS on asking if 1) is that annoying? 2) mimicking the announcement or 3) my personal favorite and they ask "oh did you know your front door was open?"

i havent yet but i do wonder about the legality of such a contract. that is a blatant breech of 1st amendment rights

Yeah, it was kinda weird. My boss told me that two people on the east side of town almost got fired over stuff they had put online about Walgreens. So maybe this is just something they’re doing out here.

So today I had to sign an agreement, something about social media. Basically stating that I cannot say “I hate working for Walgreens” or anything about a coworker by name, otherwise I could get fired.
I wonder if this blog counts? I’m not bashing on the company… Or any coworkers for that matter. Just the stupid people of the world, which can go for anywhere really.
What do you think? And has anyone else had to sign something like this recently?

Yeah, but not for too long. I’m trying to find another job, but no luck so far. And knowing Las Vegas, I won’t have any luck for like six months.

I am SO glad that this is a company-wide commonality. I have seriously dealt with every single one of these... On a regular basis... I work at a beach store, so most of our regulars are ANCIENT. Like the woman who comes in EVERY Saturday, takes the ad, and walks around to see what we're out of. "I need a lot of rainchecks." FUCK OFF. But, anywho... How long have you worked for Hellgreens?
